Jim Taylor is the candidate of the Conservative Reform Network and, in my view, will have more resources than reported at this time.

Former District Justice Alloway is the Punt Status Quo Establishment candidate supported by Regola (Jubelirer ), Corman (a real conservative icon?)

Catherine Cresswell is supported by the liberal Sen. Jane Earll, as conservative as Jake Corman, another proponent of the status quo. see http://www.LibertyIndex.com.

Neither Sen. Corman nor Sen. Earll nor Sen. Regola have been advocates for opening the Senate Caucus “Leadership” accounts to easy and simple inspection. These are Jubelirer-Brightbill nexus. Jim Taylor is the Conservative Reformer.

Robert Curley does not seem to be campaigning and is unknown.

    Bob,

Great to hear that Jim has the CRN backing! Mr. Alloway no showed two debate/forums– http://www.herald-mail.com/?cmd=displaystory&story_id=189686&format=html this week and his arrogance is getting the best of him. He is campaigning as the incumbant. Mr. Curley is a good man, and is doing a good job at calling Alloway out. As a new comer to politics, Mr. Curley is out doing the expectations.

I’ve heard Jim Taylor’s ads on the radio and it looks like he’s the real deal in the 33rd District.

Anyone Jane Earll supports is immediately suspect, especially when the candidate is a policy wonk.

And do we really need another establishment crony backed by Punt and Regolla and “Jake the Snake” Corman?

Get those checks to Taylor, people!

I guess we don’t need to send Regola any money. Obviously he has plenty if he can afford to give Alloway $10,000. I am Sure glad the money I already sent him is going to support some clown I don’t even know.

I heard that Alloway no showed two forums this week. Who does this guy think he is? Even worse is Mike Long is running this guy’s campaign. This whole thing smells of status quo. Long is close with Jubilier, Brightbill and the whole group of people who hijacked us with the payraise. The corruption in Harrisburg needs to stop. Alloway is more of the same. He’s connected with all these idiots.

Mike Long is running the campaign? That tells you all you need to know about Alloway. Hack Central.

I hadn’t heard Long was running the campaign–can you alaborate? I had heard a rumor that Alloway was given a meeting with the wise men from the Republican Caucus the week that he announced.

I can tell you one thing, as a district justice, he was pretty shabby. Not showing up for work on time. And when he was the on call dj, the cops couldn’t get ahold of him for arraignment.

Believe me, he may be worse than Punt.

    Amen to that!

If anyone can confirm Mike Long’s involvement in Alloways campaign, email me at soc.r.ref@comcast.net

    Thanks!

Great info Bob! Alloway is in the defensive this week in his ducking of the forums, so this should feed the fire. Go Taylor!

I’m surprised Curley hasn’t found this. He has been very good at calling Alloway out on the money issue. He’s not bad for a first time candidate.

Forgive my ignorance………..is contributing money for yard signs “running someone’s campaign”. Or is that just a way to cover up money?

    Posted March 30, 2008 at 8:20 pm | Permalink

Running campaigns is what Mike Long does and Hallowell, Branstetter and Long do not work, as far as I know, for free. There is no reason to think this is a arm’s length contribution. HB&L did not make this kind of contribution to any other candidate. and, of course, there is what is known in the district. This is validation of what was generally known.

    2/15/2008 $6,194 is not marginal.
