Where is Bobbie Casey? I have not seen the guy since Obama’s comments hit the fan. Maybe Casey got a little scared and ran away.

Obama’s “bitter” commentary could easily turn into Howard Dean’s “YEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHH!”

He’s in full-blown backspin mode and his supporters are in crisis-level damage control on all of the blogs.

The funny thing is that this isn’t all about the “bitter” commentary. It’s just the latest stupid thing that Obama (and his wife) has said. When put together, they show a pattern of poor judgment – and a manner of thinking perfectly in line with the preaching, mentoring, and advising of Rev. Wright.

I really like how those of us who are against illegal immigration are characterized as being against all immigration. It goes to show you just how rediculous the debate has become, you can’t speak out against illegal immigration with out being branded a racist or according to Obama a small town hick.
People who are hear illegally don’t get to make the rules or be mad at us when they are caught and sent home. Just like bank robbers don’t make the rules and can’t be made a society when they are caught and sent to jail.

I honestly do not think Obamas gaff compared to McCain not knowing who the warring factions in Iraq are. McCain puts his entire campaign behind the war in Iraq and he doesn’t even know who is fighting who over there. He didn’t even know the difference between Iraq, Iran and al Qaida. I know the guy is old and may be slipping mentally, but boy those are big issues to not understand.

Sure, Obama shouldn’t have used the word bitter, I agree. But small towns are having it hard with plants closing and businesses being shipped oversees that have been increasing because of the tax breaks the Bush administration have put in place that makes it much easier for US companies to do outsource. The point Obama made was correct and everyone knows that, he just said it in not the best of ways.

Many people do not like hearing the truth. That is very clear with my experience in this blog. Rich, Doug, Bill and the gang would rather not hear the truth about their movement and the many hypocrits they worship, but if we are going to fix the mess we are in, the truth needs to be put on the table.

Many people in the “T” are fine when a politician just comes in, throws them a bone, tells them what they want to hear and leaves. That is what Bush and Santorum have done for years and it clearly works for those voters. They bought into it, but Obama wants to put down the truth and try to help improve the situation, so what is wrong with that?

    Ahh…more MoveOn talking points. Sweet.

Of course, you’ve been proven wrong about McCain’s points before, but why let that stop you from spreading the lie?

    Coward.

Could? Has! The more they try to explain how those of us who were insulted really weren’t insulted, the deeper the hole gets. When you say something that others take as an insult, whether you intended it as an insult or not, you need to apologize. Telling them they really weren’t insulted is just another insult, this time to their intelligence.

    PAM,
The last time I checked, there really isn’t any factories and such in small town pa. The towns that do have any are ussually locally owned and are not going to leave. Most live in small towns and travel to work in another larger town. I also get a laugh out of how much of an arm chair general you are too.

    Lance,

Well, take a look at LaTrobe, PA or Youngstown Ohio and the big picture may become clearer. Go to DuBois and Altoona PA, the work picture is not what it used to be. That is the point, sure you can cherry pick a few spots, which is something the far right likes to do, cherry pick, but step back and look at the big picture.

    Hi fellows (Rich and Doug),

Just name calling with no real intelligent response to my post. Sticks and stones….. Why don’t you try a mature response that includes an attempt to present a different view or opinion, instead of only resorting to shallow name calling?

I know the whole coward thing is much easier, but just makes you look retarded. As for being a coward, I didnn’t dodge serving our military like Bush and Cheney did boys.

I know you are, but what am I? :) ) You really aren’t making a point, you know. You’re just complaining that we don’t take you seriously. Which is true, so far as that goes…

  11. Posted April 14, 2008 at 12:16 pm | Permalink

    More lies. Coward.

By the way…we’re still waiting for your “proof” about your wife. Show some maturity and back up your lies.

    PAM, I am from small town PA 10 miles from Latrobe. I know the area well. The mill is still up and running, LeNature water is still there. Only Rolling Rock went away, and to NJ to boot. There are other businesses looking at buying the old brewery, so jobs will be back for that location. Mr Rodgers nieghbor hood is still there too. Also KennaMetal factory still up and running.It’s stats from it’s own profile is;
Industry: manufacturer of cutting machine tools
    Revenue: $1B – $5B in sales
    Employees: 10,000 – 25,000 employees

For the rest of the county, lets see. New stanton, went from chrysler to VW to Sony. No change. Still a factory. Look at what is springing up around Delmont. Greensburg is getting bigger too. All of the Ma and Pa stores in Ligonier doing well. I think we differ on the size of small towns. Latrobe is not a small town to me. Re-read my post. If you can’t find any work in the county, there is something wrong. Too me, it seems it is those coming from Allegheny county to escape the taxes and such that do all the complaining when they get here.

“I honestly do not think Obamas gaff compared to McCain not knowing who the warring factions in Iraq are.”

I don’t think Obama can even find Iraq on a map. McCain has been there to research the situation there personally EIGHT times, I believe. Obama? Not once…
