Simon Campbell is a phenomenon.
A gift from God. Amazing how many of us simply ignore the awful mess the Marxists have made of public education.
“Hero” is the word that first comes to mind.
Campbell has it right. It’s all about the Benjamins for the unions and nothing about the kids.
Has a teachers’ union ever gone on strike for better education? Every teachers’ strike is about more for teachers and the question “What do the children learn?” is not addressed. Competition and choice are key to improving quality, not more concentration of power and wealth in a few who make decisions for every parent.
Their new motto is “Do It To The Children” and they’ve changed their name to “The al-Qaida of Academia”.
“Although some of his positions may be laudable, he attempts to present his position by confrontation, intimidation and disparaging remarks to all those who may disagree with him,” Smith said. “They’re afraid to say this but I’m not afraid. If you don’t agree with Campbell, you are his archenemy. His position is — if you don’t agree with me, I’ll destroy you.”
Geeze, from my experiences with unions, especially teachers unions, that is just the atitude/tactics theye mploy. Considering theyw ere around and active before Campbell ever set foot in the US…..
As for uinion donations to political campaigns, so long as corporations acnnot do so neither should unions. The only difference between a corp and a union is one is based in capitalism and the other in Marxism.
Here’s a question: Why are taxpayer’s representatives collecting money for these unions anyway? It isn’t as if they don’t have enough to do. Oh, that’s right — they’re doing this ‘for the children’!! That’s a lot of malarky. But, there’s lots of malarky going on in Penns Woods. Sic ‘em, Simon Campbell.
Name one person that Simon has threatened to destroy. This is a bizarre statement. Disparaging remarks, quite so. Intimidation? Who and how. Simon is one guy against the most powerful lobbyist organization in the state. and PSEA does not intimidate, as we all know. Simon is very clear but if you look at the debate with Daylin “Dutch Laroo” Leach, you will see clear exposition. Like his heroine, Margarat Thatcher.
I think the speaker was actually projecting, that is, attributing to Simon what PSEA does to its opponents.
Daylin Leach. Now there’s a scary thought for the state Senate. He’s been gosh-awful in the House!
Leach is an extraordinarily fitting and descriptive name for this one.
