There was a lot of weekend activity in Harrisburg with plenty of stuff being passed (snuck through the back door).

Autism seems to have become a hot issue (almost like AIDS) and I’m wondering if autism is being peddled as the new ADD or being exaggerated with a movement to use it as an excuse for poor performance in school etc.

My wife has worked with an autistic child before. We’ve both heard that it has recently become a highly mis-diagnosed illness. The result: kids who really have autism get swept under the rug.

Ultimately, the more kids in a school with an “illness” the more state and federal money that school receives. Is there any surprise there has been a surge in autism diagnoses? When the state reigns that in, the schools will start mis-diagnosing some other trendy illness.

Capitalism and free enterprise offers the opportunity for one to distinquish them themselves through hard work and making good decisions. The equality is in the opportunity.

Under socialism, everyone shares equally in the misery.

Yeah, who needs the free market? Just use a government mandate. And guess who will be the first to complain when rates go up.

Will insurers also be mandated to pay for this ‘preexisting condition’? Hidden in this is the fact that everyone’s rates will go up, not just those who suffer from this affliction.

    Ain’t socialism grand?

Reelect no one. Throw them all out.

Ray’s right. Meanwhile, the House D’s answer for the doctor shortage is to pay everyone’s medical school bills in return for an agreement that they’ll practice in the state when they graduate! That little gem comes from one of the leadership-risers, Shapiro. ‘Last one out, turn out the lights…

One proven treatment for epilepsy is a high-fat diet. Autism may be caused by parents depriving their children of enough fat in their diet.
Young parents are being brainwashed into believing that fat-free diets are “good for their children”.
Exactly the opposite is true. Childrens’ minds and bodies need fat to grow properly, but the Culture of Death tells them to virtually mal-nourish their children.
Interestingly, junkfoodscience.com lets us know that people who are “middling overweight” actually have longer life spans than those who starve themselves into thinness.

Eichelberger was the ONLY NO vote. What happened to Citizen Mike Folmer?
