Not enough guts to put: “Should the Port Authority Transit be privatized?” on the ballot?

That way, people could decide whether or not so many hundred thousand dollar/year jobs should be paid out of their bus fares.

After all, PAT is the problem.

Of course there are no guts, he is a little kid…..he didn’t ahve the guts to question the awarding of the license in the first place!

How can there be no outrage at all over this entire Casino Fiasco! Rendell, Onorato, Ravenstahl, Jerome Bettis & Franco Harris, haven’t seen those 2 around lately, have you?)And everyone else involved had their influence on this guy getting the casino, we could have had a brand new arena and casino in the hill district for free except then public money wouldn’t be used and then there would be no reason to create taxes. These are the same people who are telling us to support Barack Hussein Obama, yeah, I will utilize their judgment on the guy who got the casino when picking who to support for President….

How do you give a 780 Million dollar casino expense to a guy who can not even come up with the first $10 million dollars in labor payments!

Way to go PA, trending toward Obama, more like trending downward…….

As far as privatizing PAT, Onorato is liberal tax and spend, the only privatization he knows is his campaing war chest…..and he wants to run for Governor, May the lord save us!

Councilman Matt Drozd said he wants to ease the burden on not only businesses, but taxpayers, too.

“The people that frequent those restaurants are really paying the tax. They pay it, it’s right there in the bottom line and it’s a tax on them; it’s not just a tax on the businesses,” he said Tuesday.

Since January, the drink and car rental tax, combined, has collected more than $14 million for the Port Authority.

Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato said he will not raise property taxes to fund transit services.

I know, I know…we all know this, but it bears repeating: Businesses don’t pay taxes…people pay taxes.

Also, it’s apparent that Onorato has no desire in fixing what truly ails the Port Authority.

I could be wrong but I thought that Drozd voted for the drink tax.

I stand corrected. I just found the report on the vote and Drozd did vote against the drink tax.
