“(AP) — GREENHOUSE GASES: The House approved a bill, 176-24, that is designed to find out how much Pennsylvania contributes to global warming. Under the bill, the state Department of Environmental Protection each year must catalog the sources and amounts of greenhouse gases, which most scientists believe contribute to a warming global climate. Within 15 months of becoming law, the DEP would have to begin producing reports that study cost-effective strategies for reducing or neutralizing greenhouse gases. Gov. Ed Rendell’s office said he will sign the bill. (Senate Bill 266)“
Note Well: This idiocy comes to Pennsylvania courtesy of the “Republican” controlled Senate.
Patrick Michaels wrote an excellent book on the subject: “The Satanic Gases: Clearing the Air About Global Warming”
This book, coupled with even a rudimentary understanding of statistics, debunks the entire myth.
Great…that’s all we need. As if the DEP doesn’t have enough power to seize and control private property…
Seems there are 176 legislators who:
a. really believe in this fraud
b. want to look like they care
c. lack the courage to stand up for citizens
Shame on us for re-electing them.
The Senate’s vote on Health Care Cost Containment Council is significant. Let us see if any government agency really sunsets.
This is anomaly, isn’t it?
Take a look at HB2200 or SBH? I don’t know the number but it cuts back on electric generation, you know …to save the planet.
When you hear the term “greenhouse gases” taken seriously, it is safe to conclude that the speaker either:
1. Hates his neighbors so much that he wants them to pay exhorbitant prices for fuel.
2. Is virtually ignorant of the fact that temperatures have been dropping for seven years (2007 was the coldest year in the past 30) despite slight increases in carbon dioxide.
3. Lacks the math skills to understand that the change from 300 to 380 ppm of carbon dioxide in the air is the same as comparing a stack of a million one dollar bills 3,000 feet high to a stack of eighty bills half an inch high.
And if I recall correctly, CO2 is a relatively weak greenhouse gas. Methane is a far more efficient in terms of warming per part per million, as is water vapor. The fixation on CO2 is political, not scientific. It simply turns carbon into currency. If they wanted to do a real historical comparison between greenhouse gases and temperature, composition of the atmosphere would have to be converted to equivalent units over time, the result plotted against historic temperatures. Maybe Patrick Michaels did the conversion and plotting.
Scientists note a correlation between CO2 and temperature, but some scientists are now questioning whether CO2 rises in response to rising temperatures…in effect, questioning whether the global warming alarmists have confused cause and effect….again…still.

[...] is no magic bullet to climate change and the environmental crisis. Heck, in the state of Pennsylvannia, you can’t even get the citizens to agree that there IS such a thing as a climate crisis. But [...]
