Workplaces are having to shake things up as well.
Whether they have to comply by abandoning smoking lounges or if they are doing it using the excuse of the law isn’t clear to people I talk to.
Obviously some are upset and speak to me of smokers having “rights.”
Sorry, not in the Nanny State of Eddie Rendell and RINO Republicans in the legislature.
Although I don’t agree with the premise of such a law, I can tell you that I have seen a difference here in Las Vegas where we passed a similar law. There are places I would never have been able to sit in a couple of years ago that I can now enjoy because of the lack of smoking. Some businesses will suffer and some will thrive, but I don’t like the government telling a private establishment what they can and cannot do with respect to the consumption of a LEGAL substance.
I am not a smoker but I hate this law. Let the bar/restaurant owner make his decision and let him live with the consequences of it.
I’m with Ray on tis one.
Where does the legislature get the power to tell a private club they can or cannot allow smoking?
Guess it’s the same place they found the power to dictate how political parties can handle their primaries and then bill the taxpayers for what is a private matter.
You are a brilliant man David.
