But I thought he was up by a zillion points? Where’s our liberal polling expert to tell us how Obama’s lead can be anywhere from 2 to 18 points…and yet somehow all polls are accurate?
So now we know why Eddie is worried and begging Obama to return to PA…
I don’t care what the reputation of a pollster is, be it a Dem or GOP favored or a neutral poll.
They are ALWAYS skewed in some manner.
Look at the behavior of the candidate’s supporters. Rendell’s pleading for him to return to PA should be a hint that the jig is up to use street lingo.
Rendell’s public pleading could be a head-fake to get McCain to devote time and money in PA where he probably cannot win.
I would not trust Rendell on anything.
SS
Straight shooter, I think Rendell is covering his ass. He knows he’ll be held partly responsible for delivering the state for Obama. If McCain carries PA, Rendell will take some of the heat. By telling Obama he needs to campaign more in the state, Rendell can point to his pleas to Obama to spend more time in the state as the reason he came up short here.
IGNORE POLLS AND VOTE!!!…the thought of an Obama presidency combined with a Pelosi Congress scares the bejeezus out of me…
I agree, this poll shows that we all just need to hold our noses, swallow the vomit, and just vote for McCain. Even though he is not everything that we want when it comes to his politics, he is by far and away much closer and better than Barrak Obama is.
Great point. I know there are several on this site who simply won’t vote McCain, but there are a couple things to consider:
- Freedom of Choice Act
- Fairness Doctrine
We know Obama wants both of these on his desk right away. Given the way the media has been totally in the tank, what chances are there of those two being undone? Slim.
Add in the possibility of three Supreme Court justices and scores of federal judges and the lasting damage becomes stark.
Ultimately, the big thing is this: Obama will be the first president who used tax hikes solely to fund welfare checks to redistribute wealth. Other presidents have hiked taxes on the rich to fund liberal policies – but Obama is going full-bore socialist. That will be incredibly hard to reverse, especially when you consider there are hardly any “Reagans” currently serving in this country. Add in the Fairness Doctrine and a modern “Reagan” will never get elected.
McCain may be bad…but he’s NOWHERE near where Obama is and where he will take us.
Barr and Paul are only temporary, feel-good votes. Keeping Obama/Reid/Pelosi out of total control is critical.
Don’t worry, the roughshod and crude Fast Eddie will come to the rescue. For sure he’ll get the illegal’s rallied.
The McCain strategy to win has to be focused outside of Philadelphia and in some way anti-Philadelphia.
Rendell and his cronies keep the cash flowing into Philly while the rest of the state gets the “change”.
McCain should pull any ads off Philly TV and run them all over the rest of the state.
The state GOP should do anti-Philadelphia messages on TV in the other cities saying Philly gets the 100 dollar bills while we get the “change.”
That might be a good line for an anti-Obama message here in PA.
While we are at it, exploit all local issues from the woman having her gun permit taken recently to every teacher contract dispute in the state and teacher strike from Cumberland Valley to Lake Lehman to South Butler etc.
Link these issues to Barack Obama. In the teacher strike-contract situations make note to everyone that the union on strike or demanding the 5,10,15 percent pay raises supports Barack Obama for president.
I’ve heard that in York an Hispanic school board president has been attacked by four black school board members as a “racist.”
She has responded that they are the “real racists.” And they are probably Barack Obama supporters, too.
That would be a great message to get out to the Spanish speaking voters in that town. The ones that attack the Hispanic school board president and are “racists” support Obama.
Fast Eddie’s having a cow (that’s a great visual, but I digress!) because Obama is NOT winning Pennsylvania. There is enough vote to offset the tombstones, etc in Philly and people ARE motivated to stop the “spread the wealth” socialist from joining fellow socialists Pelosi and Reid from taking the trifecta (White House and Congress). Obama’s got PLENTY of money. He’s also loaded with arrogance and is stuck with his be-careful-what-you-wish-for VP nominee, the bloviating, hairplugged, pro-abortion (while claiming he’s Catholic), Biden. Whine all you want about McCain — there’s plenty to whine about — but vote to stop Obama. Hold your nose or whatever you have to hold — just stop Obama!
I am a moderate and I think the PA race is a lot closer than the Ds admit
Rendell ain’t fooling me–the DEM candidates need to really work PA in the next 10 days
Man you guys are pathetic. Survey USA is very reliable. As is Rasmussen. There is no internal Obama poll showing only a 2-pt PA lead. If there was, he’d be here right now campaigning. Internal polls giving the opposition a glimmer of hope never get seen beyond the pollster, the candidate, and two or three top advisors. I admire your optimism, I really do, but this election is over. Start focusing on the next battle, which is cleaning up the Republican party from the bottom up.
Interesting article on how the media is slanting the polls:

I agree! The idea of a socialist government makes me want to puke! McCain needs all the votes we can give him.
I am not ready for a socialist government. McCain needs all the help we can get him!
