The toll increase was planned whether we leased the turnpike or not.
Given the current budget shortfall, what makes you believe, even for a nanosecond, that our benevolent betters would have invested the proceeds to generate the projected return on investment?
Do you honestly believe Ed Rendell and the reprobates would have acted responsibly toward future generations, some which are yet unborn, or do you believe they would have taken the expedient route to saving their own skins all in the name of “emergency.” Pfft.
