Why the fuss over getting embryonic stem cells? There has been no success with them, unlike adult stem cells which have a proven record of success.
Is there another and unstated reason for the demand for embryonic research?
I don't think it can be emphasised enough. Embryonic stem cells have ZERO USE. They aren't successful in treating anything.
Adult stem cells have had success after success after success. Common sense says that's the direction you want!
Alas, we get to the truth. Dehumanizing pre-birth life. It's just a blob of tissue, right?
People are not dying quickly enough. Our government has gone to war with its own people, and the old are as vulnerable as the unborn, since the first attacks are on the most helpless.
In Oregon, where there's "assisted suicide", a great way to cut expenses, one woman was denied cancer treatment. "Too expensive", the government told her, "but here's some literature on our wonderful assisted suicide program."
There is a culture of death, and it seems to have taken over.
I wonder if Specter has thought about taking his own advice? What a heartless evil man he is. Rip up embryos to possibly save him and the old should die to save money for him. Disgusting and reprehensible.
Socialized medicine will aid getting those stem cells quicker, and the porkulus bill was the first step.
Socialized medicine may very well end stem cell research and a lot of other research. These people wanting government healthcare are in for a huge surprise. Four hundred pounders will be required to lose weight or do without, how about smokers and drinkers? The government isn't going to pay out money for healthcare to people that make no effort to care for theirself. Actually, a good dose of government healthcare may cure a lot of our country's ills. It may just turn a lot of freeloaders into people looking for a better alternative than the freebie. Or it could well do away with a lot of them. But, it's what they want.
