Excellent! One of the most highly attended of all the tax protests nationwide.
I was told that many had never been politically active. The Specter Casey Obama Socialist Stimulus plan is scaring a lot of people. It can't work and many are asking "Who is going to pay for this?" and they think, like me, The Forgotten Taxpayer, I am going to pay for this plan that does me no good.
Good to see folks come out on a Saturday for this event.
We need to get louder and more organized in the months ahead to clean house in the GOP and say NO to Obama's schemes.
Hopefully the gang in Harrisburg will see an even bigger response from us when they cook up a "budget" this summer.
I was told that many attending were never politically active and that Pat Toomey's challenge was received enthusiastically.
I was with you in spirit. Glad to hear Pat's challenge was enthusiastically received.
It was a great time and it was refreshing to event get honks from people driving past the capital in support. Let's Party Like It's 1773!
In Tennessee, when the legislature is in session to do something especially hurtful, tens of thousands of people drive by the capital honking their horns.
I think thats only happened twice Bill.
Personally, I would rather have had a Whiskey Rebellion.
That might have attracted an even larger crowd.
DD, I think it worked both times. Would such a demonstration in Harrisburg be protected by the First Amendment?
Hopefully they register as Republicans to defeat Specter.
I say block the legislators parking lot at the end of a session with a traffic jam.
I am surprised the people of Allegheny County did not go that far over the drink tax. They should read their local history.
i have heard rumors of another protest taking place on April 15th. Anyone know if this is true? If so please email me with any info you may have. Thanks! jason.agency@gmail.com
