No one should be surprised by this. Big Labor has become just another special interest more focused on gaining power for itself than protecting the needs and rights of labor.
Completely agree.
I do not know how successful Big Labor will be at this though.
Wouldn't it be easier to just get Specter to register as a Democrat? That would save a lot a bother for everyone.
This Arlen-Union desperation maneuver should be easy for Toomey to counter. The slogans will come easy: "Arlen sold his vote…" "Say NO to the union bosses…" This is OUR primary…" Remember that even Johnny Dougherty loses Philadelphia elections. Lookin' good for the good guys!
