Excellent article on Charlie Crist. If Florida's Republican Party is as dominated by the same people who run Pennsylvania's, we are stuck with another empty suit.

Though I don't particularly care for the guy (and I can't think of his name right now) He did come up with a pretty good analogy about the GOP.

He called it branding. No matter where you go in the country, if you open a can of Pepsi, you know what you'll get. It's reliable and consistent. However, if you open a 'can of GOP', you never know what you'll get. It could be anything at all or even nothing at all like the GOP you get locally. In other words, the GOP 'brand' means nothing.

So why does anyone wonder why 'consumers' never pick it consistently?

I am really sick and tired of these weasels. If he would win the seat it is just a hold for the party since he would be replacing Menendez who is also liberal. It's these abject pathetic excuses for republicans that makes me stay firm in the decision to not give one red cent to the party. Let him run and I hope he loses. No more.

    This isn't surprising.

Crist has major family ties in PA including relatives in Altoona. Former home to Bob Jubelirer and current home of Rick Geist.
