Interesting article . . . one was seen roaming the Snyder County area and just captured within the past week. They were trying to say it was T&G Wild Cats, however they are saying they are not missing any animals. They are around!

The game commission will never admit that mountain lions are back because that would mean they naturally reintroduced them selves to Pennsylvania and all the conservation and protection that we give animals in an attempt to artifically reintroduce them amounts to nothing.

This is the perfect question for Lt. Governor candidates. It allows them a marvelous opportunity to bloviate, and gives us the opportunity to see how good they are at it. Anyone near their statewide tour bus trip should ask each one if there is a mountain lion problem in this state and which state agency should take charge.

You could assign one acre to each candidate and you would have the entire state covered.

    Makes sense they would return.

I am a fan of having these kitties around. Maybe they will thin the deer herd.

How many years did they say coyotes were not here? How long before the PGC breaks down and admits Chronic Wasting Disease is here?
I have a close friend who had a close look at a cougar and I have seen other evidence of them being here.
The PGC won’t get involved until they can have enough to start asport hunting season, which is all the agency really cares about.

As for the "we need a photo" check the crptozoology site http://www.cryptomundo.com on the Java rhino (1st video 2008) and it has been known for hundreds of years. Or the giant squid. Or the wild cat of Okinawa which is only known from road kills -no photo exists. Yes, yes road kill is evidence but many animals are very elusive so eyewitness accounts are valid. The giant squid was not photographed live until 2003. Also how about wolves in Pennsylvania as there have been sightings.

This practice is common. The state of Michigan refused to admit wolverines were roaming in southern Michigan again until a newspaper published photos in 2004.

How about Bigfoot or Sasquatch? Have they been sighted yet?

Wolverines will be reintroduced during Red Dawn. ROFL

Both of them are hiding in fear of being taxed if discovered.

I'd say that a certain group of Panthers would like to deny the existence of any Lions too but over the years there has just been too much damage to the Panthers to blame it on anything else.
