Arlen Specter is slicker than Bill Clinton.

That’s why his latest trick was to switch over the Dems.

He’s all about saying what people want to hear at the moment to maintain popularity and win re-election.

Specter will change his opinion and position on a dime to achieve those ends.

I was questioning him one day and he changed his position right in the middle of two sentences.

I was asking about the so called assault weapons ban and he said that he realized that it was a mistake because it violated our rights and did no good. When I asked him if he would vote for it again, he said that he would if it was part of a 'must pass' bill.

I guess violating our rights and being usless doesn't deter him from voting for bad legislation

In a long line of self-serving politicians, Specter now holds the top spot, primarily because he is no longer able to cover one slick move with another. There are quite a few statesmen among our public servants. Perhaps the worst of the Specter legacy is that his actions are so egregious he contributes more that most to the belief that “they are all bad”, when in fact they are not.

The worst flip-flop of all was opposing Judge Bork, but supporting Justice Thomas. I don't care which side of that anyone is on; those two votes cannot be reconciled by any intellectually honest means. That typifies Specter as an unprincipled hack whose polestar is what he sees in the mirror. It is time for the voters to enforce some term limits.

Maybe our girl Arlene doesn't even realize she IS flip flopping. She has changed her mind so many times, who knows where she stands on anything?

Folks, you have got to be kidding me. Didn't anyone know Specter was a snake in the grass long before this?
