let's go Jack!!!!!
GOP is winning, if not sweeping, statewide tonight. Philly is not providing the big percentage they usually do. It's a virtual tie right now and there's more Republican votes left to count than Dems.
Republican judicial sweep looks like its in the cards.
I'm happy to announce that the most conservative council candidate in the conservative stronghold of Grove City won re-election.
HUGE upsets in Westmoreland! Republican Bryan Kline defeats Clerk of Courts Dave Patterson to become 1st GOP Row Officer in over five decades. Judicial Republican candidate Michelle Bononi leads Dem. Megan Defazio with only 5 percent of the votes still out… tremendous GOP route in that county.
I was one of the 20 people who supported Patricia McCullough at State Committee for the Commonwealth Court nomination. Screw the state committee.
Chris, it's not a general election. It's a municipal election. Meh, I'm a stickler.
Note to GOP winners across the land: DON'T BLOW IT THIS TIME.
The highlight of the evening is seeing rabid pro-abort Jack Panella spinning in infinity … the infinity of political oblivion, an electoral black hole that has claimed many a leftie.
My view of things is that anyone or anything with a GOP label on it will do well in the face of Obama’s lost popularity and the poor economy.
I didn’t vote for every Republican today.
My hope for next year is that conservatives will rise up and take the Republican banner in as many Congressional and Legislative seats as possible.
RINO’s will not change things for the better in this country or improve the mess that Pennsylvania is sliding deeper into every year.
If that fails, then let Conservatives be a third party.
It looks like the GOP is in good shape because the economy and Obama are down.
I hope we get a real conservative candidate in the 17th Congressional District to take on Tim Holden.
Am I allowed to post "Congresman Mike Folmer" as my "suggestion?"
Folmer deserves better than being swallowed up by the Scarnati-Pileggi Gang.
Todd Platts is too liberal in the 19th District and should be challenged in the primary.
May I propose a two pronged strategy with a conservative in the primary and if that fails, another conservative ready to run independent?
At this rate, Republicans will do well next year.
But we must have Conservatives winning next year who will really change things.
Agree w/you CCPSEA. Panella defeated. Savoring that victory.
Yes, Panella was defeated. Is it sufficient to defeat the Democrat? Is that alone cause for celebration? Should we expect something more? Should we expect Orie-Melvin to actually start to drain the swamp? What are her plans in that regard? What will she DO to make certain we never have another Luzerne County Courthouse mess? How would she have ruled in Pennsylvanians Against Gambling Expansion? The payraise case? Giordano v. Ridge?
It is not sufficient to simply elect the "Republican," shake the pom-poms, clap and cheer. I expect to see strong evidence of a backbone and hard, quantifiable R-E-S-U-L-T-S toward draining the swamp.
I held my nose and voted for Melvin, partly because of Panella's lousy campaign.
Did a lot of write-in's.
I reluctantly voted for Melvin. I knew that nothing good would come of Panella, especially with his win tilting the court to 4 / 3 Dem.
If she doesn't do right, then she will be part of the swamp to be drained as well. Turncoats and back stabbers are worse than rats. You know what to expect from the rats.
Frank Ryan and Matt Shirk have been angling for a shot at Holden via the GOP.
Then, just the other day, rumor starts to circulate that everyone's favorite weasel, Mike Long, was trying to push Ryan and Shirk out of the GOP primary to clear a path – now get this – for Dave Argall! If this is true, then the first question I have is: How much did Holden promise Long to screw up the GOP Primary?
Moribus, Mike Long must have some “skin in the game” to be pushing Argall to run against Holden.
The NRCC (National Republican Congressional Committee) is probably also in the game. They’re the ones that gave Republicans the infamous Dede Scazzafava in that New York district.
Argall’s recent joke legislation to “reform” the legislature could be part of a strategy to prepare him for such a run.
Argall’s a joke. So he’ll probably go to Congress.
On Durgin today, an independent candidate annouced his intention to run for Holden's seat. I didn't catch his name. Did anyone else? Nace or Mase?
He did. And now he's gone.
I think Melvin will be a good justice
