This should not hurt Gerlach in the least. He has always been his own man. If Gerlach had waited for party insiders to help him get elected he would not have won a single race. They are always caught up in their own petty scawbling and power struggles. Skip is the poster child for self interest and the lemmings who choose to follow him are the same.

Also Morbius is the opitome of a "girlie man" since he has to hide behind a mask in order to have the nerve to say what he thinks. Come out, come out wherever you are and give you opinion to Gerlach to his face.

Not too much in the way of "new news" here. The GOP establishment throughout the state has come out virtually universally for Corbett. Given that group's track record in recent years, it's hard to get too excited about that. If I end up supporting Corbett in the primary it'll be because I've decide he's the best bet to expand freedom in the commonwealth, not because the hacks said so.

Dissing Gerlach is about the Carol Aichele campaign and all the connected pay to play. Aichele law firm (Saul Ewing) Septa Bond Counsel where the I-80 tolls will go and the 25% turnpike toll increases went before. Slots money diverted from property tax relief to the Philly Convention Center whose bond counsel is you guessed it Aichele law firm. Aichele partner Vice-Chairman of the Turnpike Commission Tim Carson is pushing I-80 tolls Chesco Chairman Brion is on the Septa Board. Bet he's never been on public transit in his life. Limosine pinstripe patronage at its best pay to play moment. Sitting Republican Chairman won't give his home-town Republican Congressman a fair shot. Surprised follow the pay to play. Gerlach deserves at least a hearing and the voters deserve a choice

Rumors are Chesco Brion screwed Schroder & bought off the conservsatives to push Welch by a payoff for the nod to Gwenne Alexander for the West Chester state rep seat. Is Mac-Smith running again First Brion screws Gerlach now he screws Schroder the only voice for ethics reform in the Chester County delegation. Brion wants to be State Chairman too! Short people seem to be power hungry – the Napoleopn complex I guess!

They are using Carol Aichele. The plan was to upset Chester County by spliting the support. Skip never intended to support Gerlach he faked it until they came up with the plan to use Aichele. They need Aichele right now to split support and for her husbands connections (money). Skip is already starting to say that Carol has issues. He is setting up to flip flop on Carol next. Skip has NO loyality to anyone!!!!!!!! It's all about Skip, screw the 90% of voters in Chester County who support and appreciate Gerlach's service.

Skippy wants to be state party chairman. That’s why he’s throwing everybody under the bus, including Curt Schroder. Shcroder voted to take down Perzel. He’s no girlie man. He is by far the best candidate for Pa 6.

  17. Any Questions?
    Posted November 10, 2009 at 11:21 am | Permalink

If you want good government that provides excellent fiscal policy, you have to pick Gerlach, maybe Roher.

If you want government that provides pay-to-play as the standard, you have to pick Corbett/Aichele. This ticket is nothing more than the inside track to lucrative contracts that benefit the friends and contributors and most importantly – the Aichele law firm of Saul Ewing.

Skip Brion can't control himself in the glow of his recent wins (Ott, etc.) and is showing us that greed is still king, and that power corrupts absolutely. Because he is human, he will get caught. Bide your time.

It would be nice to see "good" win in Chester County – Gerlach winning, and Schroder winning would be good for Chester County.
Corbett/Aichele and Welch winning would mean that the "dark side" of politics has reared its ugly head.

The drug is money. Corbett/Aichele and Welch represent your brain on money. Any questions?

As Nancy Reagn once siad, "Just say NO!".

You people are comical. If Brion had embraced your candidates, Gerlach and Schroder, then you would be singing his praises. Instead he’s supporting Republicans that can actually win next year both statewide and in Congress.

I’m sure it’s lonely being on the losing side of history, but no need to sulk on a blog.

Obviously, it is not lonely being on the side of Corbett/Aichele and Welch – there is plenty of money to go around.

Can't we just get good government for once?

Yes, I am crying – for the me and all other taxpayers.

    I admit it, can you?

These people were all successful before entering politics, financially and otherwise. To suggest that their primary goal is “money” is a goofy spin job.

That’s like saying Ronald Reagan wanted to run for president to line his pockets with cash because making millions of dollars as an actor just wasn’t good enough. Reagan and others enter politics for the right reasons – to serve the people and make their lives better.

You can smear people all you want, but in the end a solid team of candidates will win next year and do good things for the taxpayers. They just may not be your candidates of choice.

Corbett can't win!!! The D's will have a hay day with the trail of corruption following him, not to mention Dan is beating him in his hometown by 20% and has already raised 5 million. Corbett has never had a tough race. The money Corbett raised in two state wide races, Gerlach has raised in one small district race to win. If he thinks the questions that Gerlach and others are asking now, that are fair questions…he ain't seen nothing yet!!!!!

    Posted November 10, 2009 at 2:22 pm | Permalink

Corbett/Aichele and Welch are bad for taxpayers. Here is why…

    From Wikpedia"

    FRAUD –
In the broadest sense, a fraud is an intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual. The specific legal definition varies by legal jurisdiction. Fraud is a crime, and is also a civil law violation. Many hoaxes are fraudulent, although those not made for personal gain are not technically frauds. Defrauding people of money is presumably the most common type of fraud, but there have also been many fraudulent "discoveries" in art, archaeology, and science.

And here's a Wikipedia definition for you, poor dear…

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

    SOUR GRAPES
Sour grapes is an expression originating from the Aesop Fable The Fox and the Grapes. It always refers to an unattainable goal and human reaction to it. It can mean to deny desire for the unattainable item. More often, it refers to the nature of humans to rationalize why they wouldn't want it anyway. The phrase has come to be synonymous with bitterness in most modern contexts.

One thing I can tell you for certain: If anyone can afford to pay people to post on a blog, it is Corbett and Welch. And, on the other side, Pike.

I don't grasp Grassroots' comment (however thought-provoking) that "Rumors are Chesco Brion screwed Schroder & bought off the conservatives to push Welch by a payoff for the nod to Gwenne Alexander for the West Chester state rep seat."

Does that imply Schroder is not sufficiently conservative for the conservatives? That's odd, since Schroder has had a prominent role in American Sheepdog and TEA Party demonstrations, and the Friends of Curt Schroder Committee contributed to ChesCo ACTION. Or isn't $250 enough to pay off Gwenne Alexander's group? Maybe not; ChesCo treasurer Alan Randzin shelled out a measly $155 to ACTION, and was knocked off in the primary. Welch gave $2,000 of studio time to the Sheepdog team for WCASD school board; maybe that's the going price? Gerlach hasn't paid his dues to Sheepdogs or ACTION at all, but his wife does work for conservative minister and activist Jim Hanak's local cyber school, so maybe that helps him.
