Isn't there anything about humility in that Bible Metcalfe totes around with him? Doesn't his Bible say "Judge not, lest ye be judged"?

I've had the honor and pleasure of working with Rep Metcalfe and consider him an exemplary representative. In a time when 99.9% of elected officials work full time on legislation favoring special interest groups while betraying their constituents and most are described as politically correct (aka liar), Rep Metcalfe is one of the rare elected officials who speaks the truth, abides by his sworn oath of office, and works tirelessly for not only his constituents, but the citizens of Pennsylvania.

To "Pastor Smith" I would state that I find a representative carrying a Bible far less offensive than those who are carrying around "enticements" delivered by the multitude of lobbyists.

Metcalfe is one of the good guys in Harrisburg who shouldn’t face a primary challenger next year, unless the RINO’s go after him.

Meanwhile, our system of committee chairmanships in Harrisburg is funny compared to the US House in Washington because minority members of the US House don’t get the title chairman.

In our good old boy everybody gets along legislature the minority party has a “Minority Chairman” position on every committee.

So minority party Republicans are making hay about going for a “chairman” title that means nothing because they are in the minority.

This is a wonderful irony. Though Rep. Metcalf sometimes speaks a little brashly, he is right on with the issues and foundational principles. (Other than Rohrer), I doubt there would be another Rep that Perzel would be less likely to choose to succeed him. This is great.

Kathleen I think you are confusing Metcalfe with Sam Rohrer, a true man of the Constitution.

They’re both good, so no more contests. Pick on the bad. Plenty of choices there.

Correct, like all the ones who voted for the illegal pay raise. Thankfully we have good men like Metcalfe and Rohrer to oppose such nonsense.

rebel yell: newsflash: Rohrer voted FOR the pay raise, AND the pension increase.
