I find it very interesting there are 4,959 face book members supporting the nativity in Chambersburg, but the media only gives the other side of the story.

Maybe because, under the Constitution, it doesn't MATTER how many people support something. It's either Constitutional or it's not.

Local bureaucrats played right into their hands by quickly banning everything. That lack of thinking, knee-jerk decision allowed the moonbats to go after what they wanted in the first place: media attention. The Nativity has been on display in the Chambersburg town square for how long? Local media…it’s CHRISTMAS! Is it possible you could mention that?

Perhaps you can point to the section of the Constitution that forbids putting up a nativity scene on borough property…

If you don't believe in anything (Non Believers) why would you need a sign?

  6. Posted December 6, 2009 at 3:53 am | Permalink

    Really? Where?

  7. Posted December 6, 2009 at 3:54 am | Permalink

    "Moonbats."

That's a great word for them.

This thing is getting way out of control.

But like I said I hope thousands come into Chambersburg and walk right into the square with the nativity scene in tow.

    Sing the carols and celebrate.

The group says it's goal is not to have the nativity removed but to garner equal space.
Why is equal space such an issue for believers?

If everyone, or at least most believe then why the need to display such on public property?
Especially a scene that is biblically incorrect according to both books of the Bible dealing with the nativity. By the way, the two books actually contradict each other on many key points. Dust off any new testament and compare them side by side.

Under the law a nativity is ALLOWED to be on public property. Do some investigatiang on the Supreme Courts rulings!! I am tired of a few people demanding their way and then the cities rolling over giving them a victory. The get wek kneed at the thoughts of the ACLU and like minded organizations! SHAME!!! Quite a few organizations will help cities free of charge to fight the ACLU and others, such as Thomas More Law Center, Allience Defense, Liberty Council, American Family Association, Ruterford , and others. We have a local case where a nativity has been on the same pice of median for the pasat 45 years. Freedom from Religion took offense , the road commission withour a bat of the eye knucked under and said the man couldn't put it up this year. Thomas More Law Center sued and is now in local court. We need to fight them every time they want to get rid of anything Christian in our nation-time to stand up to the intolerant ones!!

In order to allow religious (displays) in the public square, opposing views must also be allowed otherwise you are favoring one religion over another. That amounts to government endorsement of a specific religion which is unconstitutional. All religious viewpoints are fair game including non-belief in your favorite God.
The only thing that PA Nonbelievers do not believe in is your, or anyone else's God. Apart from that every member of PAN has the same beliefs in morality that you do, only we are not scared into it by a vindictive sky daddy that threatens us with eternal torment if we do not kowtow to His whims. Non-believers are good because they want to be, not because they are scared. Christians should be taking a lesson from non-believers they would be better people by doing so.

True enough on it's face, but it seems to be a one way street for the anti American, anti gun, anti religious left, isn't it? The Constitution doesn't seem to be an impediment the left when they want to restrict our rights.

If the Founders had intended religious displays to be unconstitutional, how do you explain the Capitol being used for church services on Sundays by the guys who wrote the Constitution?

The only thing intended by the Founders was that there was not to be an official state religion. Catholics, baptists, lutherans, methodists, and many other denominations all celebrate Christmas.

If you can be so good without God, can't you just be good about this and allow Christians to exercise their religion as the First Amendment says?

  15. Posted December 7, 2009 at 10:10 am | Permalink

File that under the 'free exercise thereof' portion of the Constitution. You can worship and celebrate any way you wish to, even if it's 'wrong'.

    And since God is good then you shouldnt have a problem with him being spoken of either. Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise thereof. Part of the United States Constitution so it doesnt sound good to keep people from their Constitutional Rights to me.And if you come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and Lord God you will then know why we want to remember what all he has done for us. Came into the world to save sinners by being born of a virgin,living a sinless life,and dying for all our sins against God our creator on the cross,2000 years ago, he was buried,and rose from the dead the third day,was seen of men,and went back up to heaven. And all who repent of their sins against that good God and trust Christ as their personal Saviour can have his gift of eternal life in Gods heaven. http://www.FBNRadio.com, Sincerely;
