He currently serves on the boards of the Butler County Housing Authority, Community Development Corporation of Butler County, the Redevelopment Authority of Butler County, and the Redevelopment Authority for the city of Butler.

He seems like the kind of guy who works to take lots of state and Fed dollars and spreads them around to private business and people. That's typically what the above groups do…

Nonetheless, I love competition and that so many people have come to the conclusion that Dahlkemper is an Obama puppet that has to go. Should be an interesting primary.

I, too, hope he's more conservative than his affiliations may indicate. A lot of groups like those end up giving money to, and guaranteeing loans for, political favorites. And, being a member of them keeps competitors from being funded.

That said, I think he'd be a good candidate, and certainly better than Kathy "We've been working on health care for so long that we just have to get it done no matter what it costs and regardless of whether or not it works." Dahlkemper.

I would think that he has to be better than the incumbent. Is there another republican in the GOP primary who is a solid conservative? Is Mike Kelly Pa's Scott Brown? Will he be another vote against the left?

I've known and done business with Mike Kelly for at least 10 years and have always found him to be a good and honorable man who runs a successful business. Those are all pluses in my book.

Ray, I think Kelly can be our Scott Brown. He's right on the issues (no pun intended). And is really a likeable everyman. I'd vote for him if I was in the 3rd.

If Bad Ray likes Kelly he has to be OK with me.

    Thanks, PaL.

I do like Mike personally and in business. Where he falls on the political spectrum is unknown to me. I like the comments he made in the article, but I am still undecided.
