Just how bad does Joe Hoeffel look? Not only did he get killed and even lost to a guy not actually in the race, he sulked about it by having his votes abstain. Joe: head on down the road to Norristown and enjoy you next few weeks before your partner in crime, Jim Matthews, gets indicted.

Wonder if Wagner turned down Hoeffel's votes so as not to be tainted?

Wagner has some real advantages, since he doesn't have to carry Mr. Onorato's "Drink Tax" baggage with him. And, he's far more familiar with what's going on in the State. It's another advantage to start out having the vast majority of the votes behind him.

After what Mr. Onorato has done to Pittsburgh taxpayers, he'll have a harder time with his proven adeptness at taxing and spending.

Wagner’s main advantage is that he isn’t Ed nor is he Ed’s pick. He’s also a genuinely nice guy. But he’s trying to look like a more conservative alternative, which he really isn’t.

Onorato is the annointed one, but Wagner may actually be the more electable since he's been considered pro-life and as Auditor General has at least made a pretense of holding government accountable.

But the GOP tide is high, so high that anyone or anything running on the GOP label conservative or RINO can win if they make it past the primary.

The Dems are virtually doomed at this point, especially if Obama continues to push and shove for "health care." The GOP Senate and Governor candidates will win in PA this year.

Wagner's main advantage is that he is a Purple Heart Marine combat Veteran from the jungles of Vietnam. He was a grunt, not an officer, and that puts your character in a totally different place. These other guys can talk about serving your country but Jack Wagner bled for his. Wagner is his own man and that seems to surprise the pundits and media but it should not based on who he is and what he has done.
